Cherry blossoms can be found primarily along the Old Mission Peninsula, which extends into Grand Traverse Bay. Some notable spots include the Old Mission Peninsula Park, the Mission Point Lighthouse area, and various orchards and vineyards along the peninsula.

This neighboring peninsula, located to the northwest of Traverse City, also boasts cherry orchards and scenic views, offering opportunities to see cherry blossoms outside of Old Mission. Travel along M-37, a scenic state highway that spans the entire length of the peninsula. Along this route, you'll be treated to picturesque vistas of East and West Grand Traverse Bay, sprawling vineyards, and the breathtaking sight of cherry blossoms in bloom.

While Old Mission Peninsula is renowned for its cherry blossoms, there are other spots in Traverse City where you can also enjoy these beautiful blooms.

In Leelanau County, immerse yourself in the heart of the region by traversing County Road 633, which intersects with the iconic M-22 before winding through the county's fertile fruit-growing lands north of Suttons Bay.

For a taste of rural beauty in Benzie County, locals recommend Joyfield Rd. (located south of Elberta and Benzonia) between M-22 and 31, as well as Herring Road in Blaine Township. Both roads meander through orchards, farms, and the stunning scenery of northern Michigan, offering a delightful journey for travelers.
